Our bat systems are a marriage of carpenter and potter. The carpenter is myself, experienced in all aspects of the timber trades and the potter is my wife who has been enthusiasticly throwing and hand building for several years. This superb material is a stable, and durable product, easily cleaned, quick drying and ideal for throwing wet clay.
Similar in appearance to standard MDF but far superior in performance, Tricoya also has the added advantage of superb waterproofing properties, which virtually eliminates the common swelling, warping and delaminating issues associated with cheaper quality bat systems.
All Prima bat systems are supplied with either 6 or 12 removable inserts, easily lifted from the master bat via a simple notch. These inserts free up valuable storage space on your drying shelves whilst eliminating the issues of distortion when lifting wet ware with your hands.
