This bat system is designed specifically for the Rhode potters wheel, and as with all our bat systems it is manufactured from Tricoya Extreme MDF, containing all the superior, stability, durability, and waterproof qualities of this premium material. The diameter of the 12mm thick master bat is 340mm with bat pin holes drilled at 250mm centres and the 6mm thick inserts are 180mm square. Inserts are easily lifted to dry without touching the wet ware via a simple recess in the master bat and a routed finger profile to the reverse. They of course require far less area on your drying shelves, freeing up valuable storage space. The excellent waterproofing properties of Tricoya Extreme virtually eliminates the issues common with other inferior MDF products of swelling or warping and is our preferred material for all our bat systems.
One system comprises of a master bat and 6 easily removed and stored inserts, additional inserts are available to purchase separately.
